A great place to be with many attractions close by for children, links park, fantastic sports centre with wave pool, great beach and marvellous harbour and historic attractions. The hotel itself was clean, tidy, staff friendly and Tommy was just great. What a fantastic guy to meet. Breakfast and Restaurant food was excellent and good value for money. I would... More

We stayed over the bank holiday for three nights. Tommy was great. He made sure we had everything we needed. The room had a superb view of the sea and was clean and warm. The en-suite was recently refurbished and was nicely done. Breakfast is a traditional full Scottish and there is plenty of it served in the smart period... More

My room was freezing from checking in, the bathroom hadnt been cleaned properly and the room hadnt been dusted in a while. The bed was clean which was a good start! The staff were rude and treated everything as an inconvenience. The mirror in the bedroom was laid on the floor (previously fell of the wall). Not a nice hotel!... More

We recently ate here to celebrate a family engagement. We ordered drinks in the bar on arrival & were quickly shown thro to dining room. We were only people there & all other tables were unset, chairs stacked in a corner! Very bare & uninviting! There is a bizarre corner 'bar' but again it is bare. Very soulless environment. It... I stayed here for four weeks due to training in Dunbar and the hotel was the silver lining in a crap trip away from home for so long. The bar staff were amazing putting up with such a big group friendly, polite and always willing to do anything they could to make our stay great. I felt that although i... More

Wonderful location. Stunning views. Room modern and immaculate. Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Cosy bar. Excellent food and service in restaurant. A little gem. We were walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were very accommodating and helped with our onward travels. This is our first trip to Sotland and the tips were invaluable. The manager even gave us... Looking forward to a sojourn in this newly refurbished hotel we were left sadly disappointed. The en suite shower room was fitted out to a good standard although there was just a bare light bulbno light shade and no toiletries. So immediately time had to be spent shopping for shower gel, shampoo, shower cap etc. I don't know if the... More

Stopped off for a meal at the Hillside one Saturday evening and found it to be very busy. Can't comment on the hotel accommodation but the restaurant and quality of food was of a good standard - best described as traditional Brit food. Would suggest booking at weekends.
