My room was freezing from checking in, the bathroom hadnt been cleaned properly and the room hadnt been dusted in a while. The bed was clean which was a good start! myself and my wife had a great time in the hillside last weekend the staff where very friendly food ok the rooms clean and comfortable i can recommend this hotel for a weekend away for couples. we are looking forward to the dunbar music festival at the end of the month and we have booked the hillside again .

Stopped off for a meal at the Hillside one Saturday evening and found it to be very busy. Can't comment on the hotel accommodation but the restaurant and quality of food was of a good standard - best described as traditional Brit food. Would suggest booking at weekends.
