After touring Europe for a month with my partner, we visited Shanklin for 5 nights. Our decission to stay at Malton House was right. The hotel is a breath of fresh air.The eldery owners were pleasant and very helpfull. Nothing was too much. For a small hotel, the public rooms were very spacious. The Dining room was pleasant, the TV lounge had easy chairs, and the bar was well stocked. The bedroom could be larger, but it was adequate and freshly renovated. The hotel is centraly situated and walking distance to all Shanklin's amenities, which compensated for the luck of sea views. Taking the advice of other guests, we had our evening meals in the hotel. The food was excellent, and at very reasonable prices. more
