We have just returned from a short break offer at The Lincoln Hotel in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the breakfasts were lovely and the proprietors couldnt have been more helpful. The Lincoln is situated in a quiet location between Shanklin and Sandown, just a few minutes walk from the cliff top path, steps down to the beach and going the other way, the bus routes. There are cliff top cafes within five/ten minutes stroll and lots of eateries for dining out in Shanklin Village which is about a mile away. We walked there along the cliff path every evening and the views and fresh air were great. However, if you have limited mobility, a car would be useful if the weather was inclement. It is perhaps worth mentioning that there is no broadband access for guests at the Lincoln at present which may be a problem to some business users.
