Take the Victorian Tunnel Tour out to sea or take the steps underground to our mushroom fruiting chamber. If you are bringing young children we also have a well-equipped play area.     Ventnor Heritage Centre is the home of Ventnor Heritage Museum and Ventnor & District Local History Society. It is totally run by volunteers and is a registered charity. We hold records for the beautiful area known as The Undercliff extending from Chale in the west to Luccombe in the east and as far inland as Godshill, including the villages of Wroxall, Whitwell, St. Lawrence & Bonchurch. Our collection contains photographs, prints, documents and artefacts, which are used to create displays and exhibitions in the museum. We publish newsletters for members and write a weekly local history article which is published on our news pages and in the local paper. Back copies of the articles are available on our website. Local history publications, many of them written by Society members, are available for sale in our Museum and in our online shop. New Society members are always welcome.
