We stayed in the Bonchurch Manor Hotel for a week in August, and we had a most enjoyable stay. The food was excellent, and the room was rustic, but clean and comfortable, what we really liked in addition to the food was that there is nothing corporate about the Bonchurch, which is something we found refreshing!! more

We enjoyed the superb sea views but the bedroom and bathroom were really tatty- wonky loo seat, aged and stained bath and basin and stained, poorly-fitted carpeting which looked as though it had been cut with a blunt penknife. It seems to depend very much on which rooms you get allocated how you rate your stay. We recently stayed in a very dissapointing and depressing room with shabby dated furniture and a saggy, aged bed. I visited Bonchurch Manor with my two teenage sons. It is a fabulous place - like stepping back in time. Spotlessly clean, friendly, beautiful gardens, polite staff - made us feel welcome and looked after.
