We stayed just for a night as we spent the day in Peel, the room was warm and spacious funriture in the room was nice,.Bathroom had around bath which was a nice touch. The staff were very pleasant. And the food was first class. We had breakfast in bed which was lovely. There was ample tea and coffee, no bottled... more

I made my booking for the Glen Helen Inn approximately 6 months beforehand and had also rang three times to confirm the booking as I was promised an e-mail by the person who took the booking, but I never received one. When we arrived on the due date, there was a sign to the reception area which turned out to... more

Good value for money, nice location and helpfull friendly staff, we usually try different places for our evening meal but had the first night in the resturant and found it very good and also value for money so eat at the resturant the other nights. Would like a king size quilt on a double bed for comfort though. more

We stayed overnight following a function in the lovely function room and yet again we could fault nothing. The food was exceptional and the ambience was great. The staff couldn't do enough for us - there were 17 of us. The room that my husband and I shared was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and altogether brilliant. Breakfast was freshly cooked... more

Helpful staff who listen, good breakfast, heating in bedrooms in winter could be kept on low overnight and maybe not so high during other times. Quite new management couldnt do enough for you. more

One bad incident can easily colour what would otherwise be a pleasant experience. We visited the Glen Helen Inn during the Manx Grand Prix. My wife ordered 2 bowls of soup from the bar menu. It was clearly sated to be £4.50. The bill for this however was £19. The Duty Manager stated that was because they were large bowls!... more

Again, I do this review reluctantly. . .in case too many people block my next booking! Not strictly a hotel. It has a 4* rating for Inns. It has to be one of the most serene getaways you could ever want. The scenery is amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly, it is embarassing. Adele insisted on carrying my... more

I stayed here for one night with my husband and elderly parents. How pleased I was for not staying longer. This place would be better described as a motel. On arrival you book in at the bar/restaurant and then go outside, up some steps and into the annexe above the restaurant. We had to negotiate three flights of stairs with... more

I booked four nights here with my disabled , elderly Mother. What the website doesn't say is that the rooms are in an annex and you get soaked going in and out if it rains. I rated it highly because the staff were so kind and helpful. When I complained that I wasn't told that it wasn't disabled friendly, despit... more

When arriving at the hotel, it did look somewhat in need of a refurbishment. However, once you get inside, most of it is quite recently refurbished and looking quite nice. There is no reception as such and you will handle check-in and check-out at the bar in the restaurant. This also means that there is no 24 hour reception or... more
