I have visited Port Erin many times but the first visit ti the Falcon's Nest. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a single room, not the most exciting view but overlooking the hotel car park. As a single room it was more roomy than I expected and tastefully furnished with plenty of draw and hanging space. The help yourself breakfast... more

Huge bathroom with good shower. We booked a table in the conservatory for our first nights evening meal. However,no table was available in conservatory although it had been booked since 10am.food was acceptable,I chose roast... more

I have recently returned from a long weekend in this typical Victorian hotel which was built with the coming of the railway to Port Erin (narrow gauge steam, still running today). It is in an excellent location, situated right on the cliff overlooking the harbour and beach. The original fishermen's cottages still line the beach and there are lovely views... more

We stayed for two nights at this Hotel. On arrival it looked a bit tired and I thought I might have made a mistake in choosing to stay here. However, I was wrong. The view from the bedroom was facing the sea with a fantastic view looking out onto Port Erin bay. Everything was spotlessly clean but old fashioned and... more

The Falcons Nest is a very good hotel, deserving more than its 2* status. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are clean and spacious, some with wonderful views of the bay. The meals were excellent value with a wide choice, and well presented. The hotel is very good value and I would recommend it for a break in the... more

Spent four nights at Falcons Nest and generally agree with NPExile. Our recently refurbished room (could just smell the paint) had great views over Port Erin Bay. It was comfortable with 4-poster bed. There was a seperate single room attached. The bathroom was ernormous (also refurbished):corner tub and shower. Shower was a bit temperamental and nobody could tell us how... more

We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Falcon's nest hotel. We had a lovely sea view room with lots of space and a very comfy bed. The room was clean and tidy. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights and apart from an ever present parsley garnish the food was very good and local! Can highly recommend the sausages and... more

Hotel showing its age in places but providing adequate, clean accommodation. We were lucky enough to have one of the top floor appartments overlooking Port Erin Bay (lots of stairs though). Restaurant a bit hit and miss but good breakfast and super carvery at weekends, but watch it if you fancy a carvery on Sunday lunchtime as that was also... more

Nothing special here other than a great view. Old hotel with spacious rooms. Good restaurant and a rowdy smokey bar. Good value for the money. Don't expect too much and you'll be satisfied more
