were apparently up graded from a sister hotel the week we were due to visit. took them a few weeks to let us know that our original hotel was not even open during winter!. The claremont in Douglas is right on thr front of the prom with amazing views, however we had a room at the back with walls for views. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple of months for business. My overall impression is that is it OK. The rooms I have had have varied from travel lodge (just about enough room to walk around the bed) to a nice sized suite with sitting room. I have found the cleanliness to be above average.... more
