I recently stayed at Carhonnag when visiting Ramsey with a small group of friends. There's not much I can add to the glowing reviews of this excellent B&B, except that Andrew and Nicky's attention to detail is inspiring and their welcome genuinely warm. The 'detail' included a jug of fresh milk and home-made shortbread with the tea-making kit in my... More

Thank you Mrs Bell for your kind comments. It was lovely to meet you and your friends again, and especially pleased that you always seem to bring lovely weather with you. Looking forward to you next visit this summer. Nicky More

My husband and I came over from the US to visit friends and meet up with family on the Isle of Man during practice week for the TT and absolutely loved Carhonnag B&B. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable, super clean, beautiful grounds and the inn keepers were fabulous. Breakfast was terrific, lots to choose from. Our room had... More

Thank you Jenny for your kind comments. I am sorry it's taken so long to respond, but I have only just discovered that I can reply to postings, which I am very pleased to be able to do as visitors have been very kind. Busy in the garden and kitchen now, making lots of raspberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant jams and... More

Spotless, great food, large and private rooms, lovely house, friendly and welcoming environment. Faultless. Quiet location with the convenience of Ramsey just down the road. Out ranks 5 star hotels I have stayed in, no I'm not joking. We will definitely stay again.

Nicky and Andrew gave us such a warm welcome to their home that we immediately relaxed into our much needed weekend break Their home is lovely and our room was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, warm and cosy with views over the hills. The huge amount of effort and thought that has gone into this B&B shows through everywhere. From the... More

Haven of tranquility and indulgence in the sunniest part of the island with very welcoming hosts!

Others have praised the food, comfort, cleanliness and welcome. We experienced all of these, but as a garden enthusiasts, we found time to relax in this unusual and tranquil setting. Because the island is in the Gulf Stream, semi-tropical plants flourish and this garden exhibits varieties which struggle on the mainland. Fruit and vegetables also do well, which we discovered... We stayed at Carhonnag for two nights on a recent visit to the TT (it is a couple of miles north of Ramsey) and it was almost the last place available when we booked. However, it must be one of the best on the Island and a lucky choice. Andrew and Nicky were wonderful hosts and their house was one... More

Just stunning. We've been visiting the Isle of Man for nearly 25 years now and have only ever been disappointed with our hotel or B&Bs. No, that's a lie. We stayed in a fabulous B&B run by Mr and Mrs Shepherd but that was in 1987 and it's long since gone. Carhonnag is friendly, elegant, utterly serene and immaculately decorated... More
