Having read the other review concerning the disabled facilities at this hotel I find it very strange that a person with such needs chose to stay at The Chester Lodge. I do not think this person can have asked any questions prior to staying at this hotel otherwise they would easily have established that unfortunately it would not be suitable... More

I have had two great stays in this warm and friendly hotel. Bryan was very welcoming and went out of his way to make sure my stays were perfect both times, in May and June this year. My room was very comfortable and inviting with a view of the sea. The room had everything I needed and more. The breakfast... More

I first met Bryan and his family at the Chester Lodge when they helped me out of a very difficult emergency situation I had with 66 children visiting the Island with no hotel due to another hotel suddenly ceasing business. We were accommodated and found the welcome so warm and caring that we have booked year on year ever since.... More

We booked this hotel last minute during the school holidays for one night, the owners seemed very nice on the phone and where more than happy to help us. The hotel was easy to find with enough parking. Upon arrival the wife was greeted very warmly, the owner even offered to open the bar for us even though we arrived... More

"Wow", this review is from a visit almost a year ago. Yes we did have flooding due to a prolonged violent thunder storm with almost hurricane force winds which did damage our roof along with many other properties on the Island. The flooding took place around 8.30am on the Thursday morning. After calling our Insurance Company (who organized for a... More

I came here on a school trip to the Isle Of Wight, and by the pics on their websites I was so glad I was coming to such a beautiful hotel. Well, I can tell you now that it is very pretty, but my room was pretty shocking. If you are planning to come this hotel and you are given... More

This review is by an 11 year old school child. Under the age I believe for a legitimate review (trip adviser please remove) Room 8A as we call it during our school tour season is actually part of the suite of room 8. The suite consists of one large double room with bay window, a separate shower and toilet room,... More

This hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was fine and quiet at nights, which is a real bonus in a hotel, having heard others on the return ferry complaining they had had no sleep in their accomodation. Breakfasts were good and we felt nothing would have been a trouble to request. We would stay again and recommend it highly
