We stayed over at the Altamount, the service, food and ambience were superb, Robert and Cathy the proprietors were absolutly fantastic, and could not do enough for us. This is a lovely country manor house hotel right off the main road through Blairgowrie. It's secluded yet within walking distance into town. We arrived and had booked a double room and got upgraded to the Altamount Room at no additional cost. It was a lovely surprise and a lovely room. Stayed at the Altamount Hotel in June 2003. Was pleased with the hotel and surroundings. If staying, ask for the Altamount room - it has the best view and the largest bed I have ever seen. Restuarant is closed on some nights and not much choice in Blairgowrie. more
