The hotel is under new management. We found the owner pleasant and informative. The rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent dinners from homemade food served in the lively bar area. After a long drive from Nottingham we were delighted to find a clean and cosy bar with a roaring fire, but everything else was a huge disappointment. The rooms were shabby and damp, the radiators ineffective, the ensuite was mouldy and without soap of... more
