Today in the visitor's book we commented: "Great Food, lovely staff and good company." We booked our New Year Trip in September and traveled through thick snow on December 30th. Unfortunately for genial host Jeff Nimmo, the hotel's owner, many skiers had cancelled due to a thaw in the previous weeks. As the snow gates were closed on the A93... More

We stopped here on our way home after walking in the area, the time was four o' clockish so we were unsure of whether meals would be available. The friendly waitress assured us meals were served all day, showed us to a table by the window, left menus and proceeded to bring us coffees as we had requested. The menu... More

Really nice hotel, good food in a rural location. Had a great meal in a friendly pub. Rooms were well appointed, nice toiletries. Large rooms, good hanging space. Cheap laundry service that was most appreciated. Sad to only stay two nights. Would definitely return. More

We (3 couples) very recently stayed here overnight as part of a short golfing trip. The hotel was very clean considering it is an older building. The rooms were adequate with very big and comfy beds. Food was of an excellent standard, service was quick and the staff friendly and helpful. Well done. More

We have used this establishment as a good lunchtime stopping place whenever travelling to the Highlands, but recently the standard has become unacceptable. On this occasion it was our misfortune to order very bland homemade soups served with inedible bread. There was worse to come the £5 ham sandwich was prepared from the thickest bread and the smallest and thinnest... More

Impressed with the interior of the building. Nice to see a place being looked after and money being spent on rooms to keep them nice. All staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spacious, bar and dining room beautiful too. So nice to find another hotel that allows dogs, our puppy also enjoyed his stay - and was in... More

Overall we were very pleased with this place. The room was very comfortable and a good size, with a lovely view of the river. The bar was a pleasant place to go for a drink in the evening. The breakfast was decent. All in all good value for money. More

The following review is about the restaurant and not the hotel. I tries to submit it without reviewing the rooms and sleep quality but could not do so. My wife and I were returning home and stopped off at this small hotel to dine. We had a fantastic meal, all home cooked and extremely tasty, very reasonable prices and really... More
