Having just returned from a two night stay at The Towers we would like to say how good it was. Tricia was particularly helpful and friendly with good local knowledge and suggestions for restaurants. We had a long journey down to Devon and the tea and biscuits on our arrival was a lovely thought. Our room was the one at... more

Stayed here for 4 nights recently, having done some research on Trip Advisor for hotels in the area. We choose The Towers as it was great value and had good reviews. On arrival we were not disappointed - the room was excellent - it had a sea view, was spacious and well maintained, plus the breakfast was great and staff... more

North Devon has lots of activities to do in the surrounding area including surfing, hiking, cycling, horse-riding, scuba diving, wildlife-watching, fishing, and exploring. My wife and I have just enjoyed a stay at the Towers Hotel in Ilfracombe, which is an ideal location for visiting north Devon. The hotel is a spectacular Victorian-style building with the slightly-over-the-top architecture which could... more

We have just returned from a weekend in Ilfracombe, staying at the Towers Hotel. We were greeted by David who was very chearful and helped to our room at the top of the hotel which was absolutely spectacular. The hotel is lovely and clean and the breakfasts are real English breakfasts with real sausages and bacon (not the plastic things... more

The initial impression was a warm welcome from David. The walk to Ilfracombe really is under 10 minutes and the uphill back isn't hard. We had a great room with a view (not ensuite but didn't have to share the bathroom luckily as the other room wasn't booked) The breakfast was good but has to be between 8.15 and 9am.... more

We were personally greeted by the owner and offered help with our luggage which was a nice touch. The entrance hall has a real wow-factor and the hotel is immaculately kept, inside and out. Our room overlooked the owner's beautiful garden and I spotted some freshly harvested potatoes in a trug on the patio! Our room was spacious, light and... more

An above average small hotel, with good size comfortable rooms, a decent shower, and is easily located as you enter Ilfracombe from the B399 or A39. As our stay was only one night well out of season, we can't comment on some aspects, such as evening meals and any noise problem within the hotel when full/busy, but the breakfast was... more

The web site does not do this place justice - we had a very warm welcome. The Tower family room was bright and airy with some nice touches. The bathroom in particular was large with 4 windows overlooking the harbour, everything was clean and bright. Very traditional decor throughout, but we felt that this added to the charm - although... more

The Towers Hotel had a grand entrance , but the room was outdated and very small, with a strange ensuite , no hot water, a very creaky bed and my partner decided it was Fawlty Towers reborn!!!!!! more
