We spent 2 nights at Norbury House on a very wet weekend in November. After a horrendous 6 hour drive from London, we received the most warm welcome from Paula and Adam. They are the perfect hosts, being on hand when you need them but without being too intrusive. Norbury House itself is beautiful and Room 5 was very cosy... more

Very warm welcome and warm comfortable Room 8. It has a good view towards the town and sea, a superking size bed and a shower that can be a little challenging but without adversely affecting our enjoyment overall. Maria and I finally met Adam this time (our third stay); we had been wondering whether he was a fictional character. Less... more

We booked this hotel for a few autumn days away at the seaside purely on the basis of these reviews and it being rated No 2 in Ilfracombe and whilst the hosts were lovely and the breakfast delicious, room 4 leaves an awful lot to be desired. The toilet was very noisy and took about 20 minutes to fill up... more

We walked into The Norbury and immediatly felt at home; relaxed and an offer of a cup of tea or something stronger. Paula and Adam are certainly experts in making you feel welcome. Our room was better than any other hotel room we had been in; trendy and oh so lucious and luxurious! We had a massive super-king size with... more

A top class experience. Friendly and professional - on hand when you need something yet discrete and having that knack of anticipating what you might need and have it ready and available. I really is difficult to not praise too much...They definately have the 'magic touch' - would thouroughly recommend and look forward to visiting again. more

On arrival we were welcomed by Adam & Paula outside on the elevated patio. The warm welcome and fantastic views over Ilfracombe instantly made us relaxed. This is our second visit to Norbury House. The rooms are stylishly decorated to a high standard with that personal touch of a greeting card and chocs welcoming us to their home. Our bed... more

We stayed in Norbury House for 2 nights, the location is fantastic only 4 minutes walk into town. Paula and Adam really looked after us, giving bus times and recommendations on where to go. We stayed in room 7 which was nice and spacious and very clean. The Breakfast was superb and I'd recommend this place to anyone. It also... more

Lovely house in a beautiful location, convenient for everywhere yet very tranquil. We loved the large and comfortable bed, which gave us three great nights sleep. And you couldn't wish for nicer hosts than Paula and Adam. The piano is a nice and more unusual touch. So far, so good. Unfortunately the shower was a real showstopper. The hot water... more

Warm welcome from Adam and Paula over tea and valuable information on places to see and eat. Fantastic king size bed in room 8 with quality tea & coffee available. Delicious breakfast. Location is 10-15 walk to town and harbour but passes tunnel beaches entrance - most interesting place - also Museum a little further on well worth a visit.... more

Adam and Paulas success in these reviews are based on the welcome and manner that they treat their guests from the moment they arrive. We were very warmly greeted with coffee and shortbreads after a long journey and imediately felt very special by our hosts. We stayed in room 4 which was very adequate for our purposes bearing in mind... more
