I found this place on a late availability website (and what a relief having read some pretty dreadful reviews of mid-price hotels). This apartment sleeps 6 (two large doubles with washbasins and a small room with bunks) and is about 10 minutes from Lord Street and a short walk to Hesketh Park and local shops/cashpoint/cafe. In addition there was a large lounge with flat screen TV/freesat and a full kitchen/dining room. The bathroom had an over the bath shower. There is a minimum stay (3 nights at weekend, 4 days midweek) but it was good value for money, we (baby daughter, parents and grandparents together) had plenty of room and were able to come and go as we pleased. more
