I stayed here with friends for a sporting trip. I arrived mid evening after a very tiring day and a lengthy drive, to an excellent welcome with tea and Christmas cake. There is none of the 'shabby chic' in which many B & Bs seem to specialise, as one of my friends remarked it is more like a very good... More

We stayed here in August, have to say my husband is very fussy, stayed with 2 children also, Could not fault this b&b. Breakfast is outstanding, and the warm welcome you will get will blow you away! They know alot about the area and can recommend places to eat visit etc. The beds are great and pillows just right. The... More

Mom and I have stayed at many B&B's in the U.K. and this one is by far the best. Peter and Margaret are so friendly, and helpful, and knowedgable about the area, they make it so easy to find things to see and do and the best way to go about doing that. wheather you need directions for the best... We have stayed in many B&Bs and this one will definitely take some beating. Absolutely faultless, we couldn't have wished for anything better. Margaret & Peter extremely hospitable, friendly, and helpful. Fabulous food, comfortable, everything you could possibly want. We will definitely be back, if they will have us of course. Peter, your breakfast was the best .................... Margaret -... More

This was the first and definitely the best B&B we stayed at during our recent trip to the UK. Margaret and Peter were excellent hosts and really made us feel at home at all times while always ready for a good chat if we had the time. The ensuite room was large, clean and well appointed and the breakfasts were... More

We chose this B&B for my parents to celebrate their Golden Wedding, as we were staying in a Caravan Park nearby. My parents have nothing but praise for the wonderful owners. On arrival they provided by parents with a bottle of Fizz and a plant as a gift for their Anniversary. Whenever we went to visit them, the owners made... More

I chose this bed and breakfast due to its proximity to the A68 when I was looking for an overnight stop on our journey back from Scotland. What a superb 'find', in a very quiet location the beautifully appointed property is spotlessly clean. Made to feel really welcome when Margaret the owner provided us with a pot of tea and... More

The room was really nice and the owner helped us locate where to catch the bus to Newcastle. The breakfast was cooked with farm fresh ingredients and tasted great. There is a pub within walking distance that has great food and gracious owners. More

It is obvious that they have put a lot of thought into what would make the stay perfect. Lots of little things like freshbrew coffee, cookies and cakes served on arrival just top off what is already a clean, spacious and comfortable B&B. We stayed whilst cycling from coast to coast and had no problems stowing our bikes there. More

From the warm and personal welcome on the doorstep to the delicious breakfast before departure this is a wonderful place to stay. The room I had was exceptionally well decorated, well equipped and clean with very comfortable beds, the en suite was spotless and had a shower to die for. Five minutes walk away is The Cross Keys, a great... More
