We recently went to a do at the Wentworth Golf Club, and stayed at the Swan Hotel right by the River Thames, near Staines. We booked 5 rooms for us and our friends to stay in, and all of them have their own charming characterisitics. Ours room (6) was an extra £10 and we had a very large bathroom, with a big roll top bath at the centre piece, plus seperate large shower. We also had a wrought iron bed with plush bedding set in a boutique Hotel type decor with deep colours and good quality fittings. Although our room faced the road, our friends overlooked the river and also had well fitted out rooms (due to the hotel being updated in May 07).
This is a traditional style pub (owned by Fullers) with 11 rooms upstairs and gastro type food offering downstairs, where you can sit by the river. Breakfast was included and consisted of a very large full English Breakfast and all the rest, with very happy and chatty staff.
