Stayed here for only one night. I had made the booking well in advance online and our room was ready on arrival. The owner is originally a French chef with a really interesting history - but for the past 30 years or so, has lived in Stirlng with his wife and son. The hotel was formerly a private house which... Lovely cosy room, and such a friendly welcome, unlike the usual places I stay in. However, never mind the room, you have to stay in this place for the food. I've never had a better steak, George is a French chef, and he really knows what he's doing, believe me ! Even something simple like scrambled eggs and bacon was... More

While enjoying a pleasant walk, we asked if we could sit in the hotel garden and enjoy a drink. We were assured, as non-residents, it would not be problem. Ordered a £20 bottle of white wine and it arrived at room temperature in an ice bucket. On requesting a cold bottle, we were told the wine had come 'straight from... More

We should have taken notice of the CCTV notice which were the first things we noticed when we entered this hotel. Checking in didn't exist and you had to run a bell to gain access to the building. The decor is Victorian and needs to be bought into the 21st century. The room we were allocated had a musky smell... More

The Park Lodge hotel in Stirling has been run by the same family for some 30 years. It is clearly run with love and care. The house is high Victorian, spacious and appropriately furnished public rooms, and a good garden and terrace. The cooking is exceptionally good. Finally the notel is well situated in a leafy area only 15 minutes... More

The place is located by a picturesque park and golf, 5 mins from Stirling city centre. The rooms are in excellent conditions especially the modern bathrooms (with heated floors). The furniture is also luxurious in Georgian style. The place overall is very quiet, although it's great for sleeping I like places with a little more lively atmosphere. The service is... More

I arrived late last night and was shown then offered room no 9. What friendly gentleman George is. Beautiful period atmosphere. Lovely decor. Breakfast was a real treat, silver cutlery, menu. Very well presented. The room was not cheap, but wad worth every penny for the luxurious feel of the place. Merci beaucoup Monsieur, Je reviendre, sans dout. A few... More
