Friendly hosts made the stay a pleasure, breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice, rooms were clean and comfortable, the quiet location guarantees a good night's sleep and the views across Rosedale from the house and gardens are wonderful. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a few days at Sevenford House in late May. This is a special place, a big rambling country house set in beautiful park-like gardens overlooking the lovely Rosedale valley. It has all mod-cons including Wi-Fi, but still manages to let you step back in time in a rural idyll. There are beautifully furnished large rooms, nice breakfasts... More

A friend and I made the mistake of trusting Google maps and drove down the steepest road in England, the Chimney Bank, in the fog and driving rain to get here. However, the warm reception and warmer accommodations that greeted us more than made up for scary driving. The breakfasts were elegantly presented and absolutely delicious, and indeed, all the... So nice to be in Rosedale Abbey, at Sevenford House again. The usual delicous breakfast, friendly host and hostess and lovely room. I'm sure we will be back again when we can escape for another weekend.

Had a lovely short break here. Great setting, lovely hosts and a good breakfast. Started with the smaller room not shown on the website which was still very nice, with great views across the valley, but moved to a larger room when it was available, really nice!

Pickering may be the nearest town (it's a few miles away), but this is a country B and B in the very best traditions. It is on the edge of the lovely village of Rosedale Abbey, and the views across the valley are absolutely spectacular. I couldn't wait to get up promptly and take a walk around the breathtaking countryside... More

If you want to stay somewhere that gives you rest and relaxation in the Yorkshire Moors, then Sevenford House is definitely the place. Ian and Linda make you feel so at home as soon as you walk through the door with welcoming cups of tea. We have just spent five wonderful nights with them and feel as if we've spent... More

As coast to coast trekkers, we were only able to stay one evening. We would love to have stayed so much longer! Ian and Linda are wonderful hosts, their home is stately and welcoming. I loved it! If you have the opportunity to stay at Sevenford, be sure to plan at least a few days or longer--and include some time... More
