We stayed at Flamborough Rigg Cottage in October for the Pickering War Weekend. Although a bit out of town the setting was beautiful and the renovation of the cottages was to the highest standard. Our hosts Caroline & Phil were exceptional and furnished us with a long list of taxi companies to try for our journey back into town. Nothing... more

This beautiful cottage complex is in the middle of nowhere yet only 10 minutes from the market town of Pickering. As we drove along the country lanes seemingly more and more remote we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. But as we drove through the gate, over the cattle grid and through the field of sheep it was... more

Wow, this place was just perfect. We stayed for just one night in the Davison suite and were bowled over by the detail Christine & Phil have done to their truly exceptional B&B. If you're thinking of staying around this area then look no further - you have now found the perfect getaway....ENJOY! more

We stayed in the Hayloft which is the 2 bedroomed apartment (but feels more like a cottage) attached to the main house. The place was really well equipped with all home comforts and lots of thought in the detail - fire laid, breakfast hamper waiting full of local produce, hairdryers in both rooms, torches, umbrellas and lots more. This is... more

I have now returned from my fourth visit to Flamborough Rigg Cottage and as I am notoriously picky it has surprised me that I have yet to find any fault ! The rooms ( I have stayed in all including the hayloft) are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, breakfast and dinner is always fabulous and its in a stunning rural... more

We decided to stay at Flamborough Rigg Cottage for 3 nights in August having found their excellent website on the internet. And what a find it was. It is tucked away at the end of a lane with the forest on one side and fields on the other three. There are some fabulous circular walks in the forest and there... more

Set in beautiful landscape, driving over the cattle grid up the path, through the field to the cottage, you just know this is "The Great Escape". We took our Boxer dog and had the most wonderful escape from the horror we all call everyday life. The buildings were immaculate, the food gorgeous, the advice perfect, the weather dreadful, but our... more

Have stayed here three times now and would recommend it so highly to anyone. Lovely setting, very rural, beautiful decoration in the rooms, comfortable, homely and boutique feel all at once. Excellent breakfasts! and so much to do nearby. I will definitely be going back. more

We have just returned from a two night stay at Flamborough Rigg Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by Caroline and Philip. The room (Lockwood) was beautifully decorated and was ideal for us as we had brought along our dog and the room had direct access to secure gardens. The breakfast was excellent with... more
