Alovely place to stay. We stayed in the top floor family suite which had a double bedroom/ twin bedroom and a lounge area. It was very clean and well equipped with coffee/tea making and a fridge. A great family unit. The breakfast was also good. Anything cooked for you if you ask. Only a 2 minute walk to the north... more

Stayed at Grindale House for three nights in June. Had a lovely time, the owner and staff were all very friendly, the house is beautiful and the room was very well equiped. Grindale House is just a two minute walk from the restaurants and shops in Pickering. The private parking was brilliant. Fantastic breakfast which set you up for the... more

Stayed in Grindale House with my wife for a long weekend. We arrived late on the Friday evening and our host met us with a friendly greeting; she set the standard of friendliness for the whole weekend, nothing was too much trouble and she always had time for a chat. We were given the top floor suite with a double... more

We go there for the annual steam rally and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. You are made welcome everytime, and it compares with any hotel as for standards. The Grindale cottages are magnificent which is where we sometimes stay. If anyone can write a bad review here, then they must own the Ritz ! You are made welcome and made... more

This B&B scores 100% for everything; cleanliness, food, service, whatever. A good location and an excellent car park - needed in Pickering. I'm looking forward to my next visit in April this year. more

Having had to phone the manager from the street as we couldn't get into the building when we arrived, the welcome was friendly enough. The room was lovely, well equipped and modern. The en-suite was well kitted out but the toiletries were unusually old fashioned in comparison to the rest of the room. Also, it was disappointing to not have... more

We are very sorry that the guest concerned find the need to write this review, but feel very upset by the facts nothing was said to us during there stay or upon departure. The door to the front of our premisis is always locked for security and there are two door bells to attract our attention, all guests are advised...

Stayed just for one night on the way home to Scotland. We booked a double room and were given a room with king size bed a second room with single bed and a great bathroom. The room and bathroom were spotless with all that you could ask for. Great cooked breakfast the next morning and their own private car park.... more

We stayed for 2 nights (2 adults, 2 twelve year olds) and couldn't have wished for a nicer stay. We were given the family suite which consisted of a double bedroom, a large twin bedded room, a bathroom with shower and a large lounge area complete with tv, dvd player, Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate, kettle, large mugs, wine glasses, corkscrew, small fridge,... more

I've had cause to visit Pickering several times over the past year, and have stayed at Grindale House on each occasion. Each time I've been greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, warm and well equipped accommodation and a hearty breakfast. Excellent location for the town itself and for touring the area. Good value and highly recommended. more
