We stayed at Noelle's Cottages for my husband's Birthday in February. The Barn was simply gorgeous! It was really contemporary but also warm and cosy at the same time. There was snow on the ground outside and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to come back to at night. With the wood burner going and the lovely underfloor... More

We stayed at The Barn for 4 nights and wished it could have been so much longer. The Barn is pure luxury, it's hard to say which room was my favorite. We booked a stay here because we badly needed some relaxation and this was the place to do it.. From the moment we arrived we felt so chilled. The... More

We stayed at Applestore Cottage right before Christmas 2011. The cottage was more beautiful than I dared hope. Noelle and Tim were very welcoming as was Max the cat. We arrived to a log fire, mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas decorations including a beautiful Christmas tree. The main bedroom is enormous and incredibly comfortable with a luxurious en-suite bathroom.... More

Thank you, Kathryn for your lovely comments and for your room tip. During the summer when early daylight would be a problem we have blackout blinds on the ceiling windows. This prevents the problem of early waking. In winter the short days make it unlikely to be a problem so we remove the blackouts to gain maximum light during the... More

The barn was lifestyle--magazine beautiful, high style and great value. We rented to be near our family, Tim and Noelle were so helpful extending the dining table and organising extra chairs, Although the barn sleeps 5, with Tim and Noelles help we had a Pre-Christmas family meal for 12. They were also helpful advising on local area and shops. Nothing... More

Thank you so much Noelle and Tim for an amazing pre Christmas break in Applestore Cottage. We were welcomed with mulled wine and lovely homemade mince pies on arrival with the log fire already burning. The cottage itself is perfectly equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own home and plenty more. The complimentary bacon, sausage, eggs... More

Thank you, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay in Applestore Cottage and appreciated the lovely bathroom. We enjoy spoiling our guests with mulled wine and mince pies over Christmas. We are now encouraging vigorous walks and biking activities to work off the Festive excess! We look forward to seeing you again. Noelle and Tim More

From Old King Cole & his Missis Applestore Cottage is so well equipped that we will be travelling much lighter when we return next year. So many things we had to pack for other self catering establishments are already provided here. The attention to detail in this spotless cottage makes the transition from home to home from home absolutely seamless.... More

We stayed in The Barn this August for one week and had an absolutely super holiday. The location is superb, so much to do - Pickering Steam Train, Whitby Abbey, Railway Museum in York and York Minster - with two boys (age six and two) this was just about the perfect holiday! Our time in The Barn was relaxed and... More
