We wanted to visit North Yorkshire site seeing and found this wonderful place to stay. There are three cottages that are all beautifully converted and furnished; we stayed in the Applestore and it was all we could have ever hoped for. Very traditional cottage, lovely log burner and very comfortable. The danger is that you could become very settled in... more

The Barn has been converted to a very high standard, the front courtyard is like a Chelsea show garden with the smaller back garden leading into Noelle and Tim's large garden with a trampoline, a growing willow house for children, and at the top of the garden a badger sett with chairs provided to watch the badgers at night. Noelle and... more

A beautiful place to stay. High level of comfort with excellent attention to detail. Everything is thought of and so you could simply arrive with your luggage! This was the first holiday my mother had been on since she became disabled and immobile. The Barn, with its downstairs bedroom and wet room, accomodated her wheelchair and she was able to... more

Middleton is five minutes’ drive from the market town of Pickering and at Middleton Hall Noelle and Tim Thornton have created three self-catering units - the Coach House and Applestore Cottage, which are fairly traditional and have been enthusiastically reviewed below. Their latest unit is The Barn, designed and decorated in an uncompromising modernist style. While this style will not... more

Had a wonderful break with my wife and 10 year old son. The cottage was excellently equipped - no need to bring anything. My son loved his room and took great delight in pointing out that it was much larger than his parents' room. We enjoyed trips out to various locations in Yorkshire but always looked forward to getting back... more

We have just moved to London from the US. For our first long weekend away, I found Noelle's Cottages purely by chance. We could not have been happier! The cottage is cosy and charming and has everything you could want, including a wood burning stove. It is perfectly situated in a very picturesque part of the English countryside, a bit... more

We stayed in Apple Store Cottage this year and it was excellent. We have booked for next year in the Coach House with friends as we loved the area so much, you are convienant for... more

We have stayed in both cottages "Apple Store" and "Coach House" and there is little wonder that the Yorkshire Tourist Board have awarded them five stars. They are in the grounds of Middleton Hall in a very quiet village just one mile from Pickering and an ideal location for many local attractions. Both cottages are what self catering dreams are... more
