What a tired, run down, tasteless place. Only one positive thing I can say is that staff were extremely helpful and hard working, service was very good. Hotel was awful, place smelt of incontinent old people and it appeared to have had no re-decoration since the 80's (although it probably had). We stayed at the Elms on a trip to visit the Family. It is in a good location and is easy to find. its lobby is good condition and it holds wedding receptions, which they do warn you about at the time of booking. The Elms hotel is definitely a good 3*AA hotel although it is only rated 3 star english TB. We stayed in a double executive for 1 night. A full refurbishment of the hotel has and is being carried out. Been to the Elms over the past few years, Always found the staff very friendly and very helpful,Breakfast and Evening meals are good value. more

The value for money is great- ok small rooms but newly refurbished. Clean, new bathroom and everything worked (shower pressure a bit on the low side). Our room had a great view over Morecambe Bay. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast. more
