Stayed for a short break on one of the hotels "Real Deals" - basically B& B with evening meal & half bottle of wine for £80 per night. We ate in the restaurant each night, food was excellent, plenty of it - staff very helpful.. Hotel is in a great location. Bedroom was a little tired, but clean. & comfortable. more

We love old buildings with character and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. The hotel was very comfortable, the bedrooms were very good, warm and spacious. There were many sitting rooms with antiques everywhere, very peaceful and atmospheric. The restaurant is a big room with a high ceiling and a massive open fireplace. Stayed here for an anniversary celebration. Our room was in the gatehouse and was wonderful. It had a large entrance passageway, bathroom, bedroom and small sitting area in the tower with 2 chairs and a table. We booked for the history of the place and this was evident everywhere. We initially rang the hotel whilst visiting relatives in Telford and were not hapy with our hotel in Ironbridge. We were told they had just been taken over and offered is a great rate of £55. B & B. I agree with the other reviewers. The outside of this Hotel is absolutely stunning and it is interesting and quirky inside.
