This hotel has some pretty poor reviews but I don't really know why. The staff are very efficient at check in, staff from the breakfast room to the restaurant are very polite and helpful. Food was fine; nice and hot, plenty of it. Price of a three course meal approx. £30 per head. The bar area is rather impersonal though... more

stayed here for third time while visiting friends it continues to maintain a good standard with good food and comfortable bedrooms the only slight minus is the room layoout some rooms are uo and down several stairs and a long way from reception but this is a common layout for holiday inn.this is a minor point the staff are helpful... more

I find the Tripadvisor reviews very useful so I thought I should let you know about this hotel. Spent one night here at the weekend, whilst working in the area. Booked by phone after finding Autumn offers on the internet. We paid £49 for B&B and found it to be worth every penny! Stayed here on business, the entrance to the hotel etc looks OK, used the gym, pool, sauna & steam rooms and these were OK, the hotel is just let down by the state of the rooms which are in desperate need of a makeover, my room had peeling wallpaper, an unidentified red stain on the carpet by the bathroom door!!... more
