Room clean and tidy though smaller compared to more modern hotels but what it loses on size it makes up for in character. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too difficult. Booked in for 1 night, value at £70 but you get what you pay for. Cheap tat. Rreceptionist was lovely but the lady on at the bar was really rude.Pint of Lager was expensive and flat. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the marina, shops and there are places of interest within easy distance. The hotel staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and the rooms comforable. I would certainly stay there again if I was visiting Bangor. more

hi me and my boyfriend stayed in the royal we had a great time the staff where lovely the food was great.Gillian was very helpful,fair enough it could do if a face lift but the staff make up for it,the new plans look good for the new hotel good luck, i will be back to stay in new year. more
