Unless you've stayed here you couldn't appreciate what a wonderful experience you're missing. Harrop Fold Farm was recommended in The Independent '50 best b & b's' It was absolutely brilliant. A farm house with a touch of class. Having seen Harrop Fold Farm advertised recently in the national press, we decided on visiting for a 'romantic escape from it all' stay. We could not have hoped for a warmer welcome - a beautiful bedroom, the most delicious home cooked food, and breathtaking views over Cheshire. They have a swingeing cancelation policy at this place and will take your money from you if you need to cancel, whatever the reason. I tried to cancel a booking which had been made accidentally immediately after making it. They flatly refused and I had to initiate a charge back with the credit card company. Nothing is too much trouble. From the moment you arrive (drinks & homemade cakes)you feel part of the family. The room are beautiful, there are great places to eat locally(not in walking distance), a great base for the peak district and National Trust Properties. Harrop Fold Farm is set in a very quiet, rural part of the Peak District. It has stunning views over the Cheshire hills. It is a working farm which has also diversified towards luxury-end stays with fine dining and foodie breaks. We booked bed and breakfast and dinner for 2 nights, with a "Cupcake Galore" course on our second day.... more
