On our way to the Scilllies again, and there was no question about where to break our journey. Now we know Talamayne, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. On our last visit we found a very impressive and comfortable extension and really thought that Martyn had done all he possibly could to make the place perfect. We were wrong -again!... More

With a warm & friendly welcome, superb decor and appointments, excellent food and a view to rival many (after the moor mist has cleared!), we don't think you will find a better place to lay your hat in cornwall than Talamayne. The room was spacious, the bed a dream and the en-suit shower room sparkling. Locted in Helland vilage between... More

We thought that the changes we noticed at our last visit were good, and couldn't think of anything else which could be improved, but were in for a big surprise. On arrival, we found that a new garden room had been built. Tastefully decorated for Christmas it looked wonderful. It means that guests no longer have to share a breakfast... More

I was coming to Cornwall for a Wedding. Searched local TIC website and found Talamayne. A very warm welcome awaited - Cornish Cream Tea - served with great finesse and scones cooked in the aga. Martyn was extremely helpful with directions to the church two villages away. My room was very comfortable, warm and with lovely views across Bodmin Moor.... More

We found this B and B on the AA website. It looked good with 4 star highly commended and an AA Breakfast Award. It certainly lived up to it's reputation. Martyn greeted us and made us very welcome. Our room was large and extremely comfortable, with lovely views across Bodmin Moor. Breakfast was a feast - such an array to... More

We had large comfy rooms with good beds, slept really well. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and the home made jams are excellent. The hosts were great. More

I have just returned from my first visit to Talamayne, or perhaps I should say experience. Wonderful luxurious details abound. Thick fluffy towels, real china cups and saucers & cut glass on the tray in your room, together with fresh-ground coffee, several different teas, a cafetiere and fresh flowers. The rooms were tastefully styled with every comfort catered for, including... More

From the word go you could not ask for better service from Martyn. His homemade cream teas was such a welcome after a long drive. Your room has everything you require for that touch of luxury. A king size bed, very comfortable covered with quality linen. Dressing gowns, slippers, beautiful soft towels and quality toiletries. Freshly ground coffee for the cafeteria,... More

From the moment you arrive at Talamayne you are made to feel welcome. My bedroom was more than I expected with wonderful furnishings, an extremely comfortable bed and the standard of cleanliness and attention to detail was amazing. Martin is an attentive host and seems to have thought of everything the tired traveller could want. There was a well stocked... More

Martyn and Neil represent the very best in personal service at Talamayne from a warm welcome with tea and homemade scones to an excellent choice of breakfast the next morning. Everything in the house is designed to spoil the visitors. Talamayne is a credit to Martyn and Neil. More
