Talamayne was recommended to us by our daughter, who has stayed there a couple of times. We were greeted with a delightful cornish cream tea and my husband enjoyed his cooked breakfast. We then went on and visited the Eden project. more

Not normally one to write a review on these sort of things, however with this establishment I just had to! This place was a real find, we booked two of the three bedrooms and were most delighted with the the true Cornish hospitality. Bedrooms were very well presented, and bathrooms had the sort of toiletries normally found in luxury hotels!... more

On our way to the Scillies again, there was absolutely no question of where to break our journey. Having previously visited Talamayne we knew what to expect. We thought this place couldn’t get any better but we were wrong! Our welcome was as warm as before. This time our freshly baked cream tea (scones still warm and delicious) was served... more

Delightful from start to finish. Martyn welcomed with offer of afternoon tea, which we were fortunate to take in the garden on this sunny day. The bedroom was really comforable and with all we could ask for and the fluffy towels were lovely. Breakfast was a good send off for the day. Talamayne was more like staying with friends than... more

We stayed at Talamayne as two couples and couldn't have been better looked after by Martyn, what a guy he is! Nothing was too much trouble, his attention to detail is superb and he really knows what people want on a relaxing break. Breakfast was a feast of fresh fruit, croissants, homemade jams and marmalades, and the cooked breakfast itself... more

Having heard of this new venture we decided to go and have a look for ourselves. Nothing could have pleased us more. Martyn knows how to look after his guests and nothing is too much trouble. The welcome on arrival has to be experienced and in all our years of travel we have never felt more immediately at home. From... more

We were so lucky to find Talamayne! We've travelled a lot over the years and never have we been so well looked after in a bed and breakfast. Martyn's such a great host and knows what people want. Never had scones and Cornish clotted cream before at a B&B but we got it here! Breakfast was fantastic and the room... more

On a recent trip to see the Eden Project in Cornwall, we were delighted to have selected the Talamayne bed and breakfast from the Bodmin tourism web site. Nothing was too much trouble for Martyn the proprietor, from the moment we booked in till the day of departure; He was very friendly, helpful and really made us welcome. He has... more
