This place has been taken over since our last visit but it was good to see the reasons we liked it in the first place haven't changed. The rooms are individual and cosy. There's no boutique furniture here, just simple, solid antique pieces, with a few scuff marks in the carpets and old fabrics. But that is all part of... more

We stayed at the Raemoir for one night only, we had a reduced rate as it was a late booking. The staff were superb, Romy on reception was a delight and so helpful and kind, all the staff were brilliant. The room was clean and comfortable, although my partners side of the bed was a bit marschmellowy compared to mine... more

My to be wife and I decided to use the hotel as the accommodation venue for our wedding. The range of requirements from family and friends was varied, from family members with small children, to old aged codgers - and of course the honeymooners - aka us! The hotel ably dealt with all our requirements. The members of our party... more

I took some of my workmates there recently and was a little disappointed to be honest. Firstly, we booked 7 rooms, but one of the guys had to cancel. Despite phoning more than 24 hours in advance I was told that there was a 48 hr cancellation policy - something I still can't find mention of on their website. Anyway... more

Having worked in and around Aberdeen for a few years and having stayed in a number of the city centre and Dyce hotels as a business user Raemoir is a revelation. Yes it is out of town and you need a car, yes the beds are a bit soft and wifi is only available in the main building but these... more

We searched very hard for a nice self catering cottage or apartment close to Aberdeen. The location was important as we were catching the overnight ferry to Shetland on the Friday evening and we wanted to be fairly close. After much searching and emailing the only one I could find, that was available for the days we needed, were the... more

Management response from
VWebster, Owner

I am happy to assure you that this gentleman's grievances are no longer relevant as every single one has been addressed. The Self catering apartments are no longer available for let, there has been a change of management and the drive way is due to be resurfaced shortly. The self catering apartments were never marketed as being the same grading...

It is a nice quiet location about 3 miles from the small town of Banchory. At first I was somewhat disappointed in the room but after staying in the comfortable bed with nice soft sheets and the windows open every night to silence and cool clean air I changed my mind. I stayed 3 nights for a conference; the food... more

I stayed in this hotel in Feb 08, and is was terrible from start to finish. The place appeared to be extremely understaffed and when you did see a staff member the just couldn't be bothered with you, and were extremely rude! On complaining, the manager argued with me and was in fact quite arrogant. So much for the customer... more

Set in beautiful surroundings and looks fantastic as you make your way up the long drive. Unfortunately that’s where the pleasure ends. I wasn’t made to feel comfortable on arrival and the room was so small and decorated only to queen Victoria’s taste. The Breakfast was so bad that I decided not to eat there, although it is quite a... more
