About a ten minute walk from the seafront, Spreyton Guesthouse is situated on the Locking Road along with many other B&Bs and guesthouses. I found the owners, Hayden and Wendy, very friendly and helpful when booking via email and then in recommending where to go in the daytime once we were there. On arrival, our room was clean and most importantly had enough tea and milk to do us a good few cups of tea to relax with. This was a nicely kept, quiet guesthouse with a brilliant filling breakfast to set you up for the day. Thick bacon, juicy sausages, egg (scrambled, fried or poached), hash browns or beans, fried toast and as much cereal, toast and tea/coffee as you could handle. We stayed in a family room despite there being only two of us, and there was plenty of room to put our stuff. The room was described as having a "private shower" which I took to mean an ensuite, but was actually a shower in the corner of the room. It had mirrored glass so you couldn't see into it... more
