Hearns bnb is run by an artist. It's 2 mins from Kew Gardens tube stop, ideal for the gardens and especially for the National Archives.
The house was spotless, so much so that guests are instructed to wipe down the bathroom after use, and each time I returned to my room I noticed stuff moved back into its 'place.' There's three bedrooms; I was in the 'rose room' which overlooked the leafy road and the railway line, but it wasn't noisy. My bed was an antique Victorian bedstead which was nice.
Breakfast was taken in a bright conservatory - choice of cereal, homemade jam and marmelade, but cheap bread for toast [with the landlady's emphasis on her homemade jam I would have expected homemade bread not long-life]. Landlady was chatty but could be a bit overbearing at times. Got to know the other guests well as we all sat round the same table for breakfast.
