Having read the reviews we thought this would be a great place to eat, unfortunately it wasn't!!! When we arrived and went in the lady behind the reception rather rudely said " I'm too busy to help you go down there" and pointed down a corridor, we duly went down and the young waitress was much nicer and she welcomed... In my opinion what makes the highlands so special isn't just the breathtaking scenery but the warm, generous and beautiful people. The landscape can sometimes look pretty barren and hostile but step indoors and you are greeted with such warmth, as we were when we visited Loch Leven hotel. We arrived late at night after driving in the dark and... More

My wife and I chose to have dinner at the Loch Leven Hotel after poor experience at the Ballachullish Hotel. The staff (especially Charlie the chef) could not have been more cheerful and helpful! We had such a good time over dinner that we returned next morning for breakfast. Next time we visit the area we WILL be staying at... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to the Isle of Skye. The hotel had a nice view of the loch and the room was really cozy. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. The only downside was that our room (I think it was Room 13) was right... More

This is a charming, homely hotel with comfortable clean rooms with stunning views of the Loch and mountains. We celebrated a surprise birthday party which was a great success thanks to the help of Hilary and her hard working staff. The food was great, breakfasts were delicious, hot and filling. I can't fault our weeks stay at this hotel at... More
