What's not to like about this place ? Motel is right in the centre of delightful Brightlingsea with everything you want and need right on your doorstep. Secure parking behind electric gates, park your car right outside your room. Delightful friendly owners and staff who make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The room was spotlessly... More

We stayed at the Brightlingsea Motel to visit the Colne Yacht Club which was about 10 minutes walk away. It is easy to locate on the high street. The welcome was good and we were shown our room and its facilities. Parking for our car was in the courtyard area and gaining entry was explained as we would be returning... More

Stayed in Green Room. Bed smaller than average hotel room but quite comfy. Breakfast acceptable but "The Full English" was a little sparse and no mushrooms. But was enough for me. Spotted some mould round shower tray. Naughty-naughty - that could be easily removed.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Brightlingsea Motel. The beds we have are standard double beds. Kingsize beds are normally only found in large chain hotels. Our beds are pocket sprung and very firm, providing a very comfortable nights sleep. Our breakfast consists of: 2 sausages, 2 rashes of bacon, eggs cooked to your choice, fresh tomatoes... More

This small motel offered us the perfect stay in Brightlingsea , situated near amenities and only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The accommodation was clean, spacious and had wonderfully comfortable beds as well as a large well equipped bathroom. The room we used was like a small self contained ground floor apartment set in the courtyard of the... More

One of the nicest places to stay. Very friendly people, very clean and spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast and a very nice friendly atmosphere from the owners. Great parking off the road and walking distance to all shops, pubs, restaurant's and sea front. Very well recommended

Stayed 2 nights - clean, comfortable, convenient, good breakfast and very friendly - say no more ! Boiling hot weekend but fan provided in the room. Parking limited but no problem finding something very close. Of course I would stay again.

Only stayed one night and for the trip the Brightlingsea motel was good - clean and comfortable rooms. A few niggles such as no latch on the door so it had to be locked all the time to stop it swinging open, some furniture recognised from Ikea's lower end of their range. Breakfast was generally good but was let down... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Some of the furntiure in the rooms are indeed from Ikea. They are of brilliant design and more than adequate for hotel stays. We offer a full cooked breakast included in the price of the room rate unlike many other places. We have tried various sausages in the past and... More

The service was excellent, and the proprietors - essentially the staff - couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming - we felt like part of the family even before we arrived there! The room was compact, but the bathroom nice and spacious - what was impressive was the lighting - it was bright and modern - we loved the... More

Stayed three nights during a visit to family in the area. The description as a motel may be a bit misleading. It’s a courtyard development behind a shop on the High Street, with parking off road for only Three cars at the most behind the electric gates that you use to get to and from your rooms. Given that there... More

We only stayed one night, to attend a local wedding, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the Green Room, and found it comfortable. The owner was most welcoming (she let us in to drop off our things before going to the wedding reception), and the breakfast was ample and good, including things like fresh fruit for those... More
