What a great place to stay, not pricey, not flash but brilliant value for money, ok the place is a wee tired but the size of the units and location outstanding !!!! You have to get to know the lovely crows that visit each day watch out though they may steal your dinner !! More

This resort is exactly what a beach holiday should be. We just returned from a 2 night break at Castaway Cove and I cant wait to return again. we stayed in a Beach house and these are great value for money. The furnishings were nice, it was clean and for $270 a night I dont think you could get anything... More

Just had our second stay at Castaway Cove in a Beach house and loved it again. Apartment was clean and tidy and the complex has great gardens etc. Biggest plus is absolute beachfront location with a very short walk over a sand dune to the perfect beach. The $rate was fair for the 7 night or more stay. The managers... More

Stayed for 3 nights recently and as for a nice quiet place for relaxing and beach walking this place was perfect , Sure there are no shops within easy walking distance but Noosa is only a 10 minute drive away , The beach is just thru the dunes and is a great beach , Accomodation is self contained units with... i'll start this by saying that we are australians and not from the uk. it just seems like all the complaints about this place so far are being blamed on people being foreigners. this is typical of our experience of them however. any problem is the guests fault and how dare you raise an issue. i'm sure there will be... Apparently after checking-in to a 1 bedroom Apartment, these guests advised my wife that the unit did not have a spa as advertised. My wife asked me to ring them to clarify what the problem was. The lady insisted that she had booked a unit with a spa. I informed her that what we call our Apartments definitely do not... More

Location is great, beautiful beaches but I would NOT recommend staying at Castaway Cove. You can get much nicer places than this for much much cheaper. It sounded great on the internet so we booked a week and we were happy to pay extra for what we thought was going to be a great place but were very disappointed. And... More

We can find no record of a couple from Brisbane staying for a week in March 2010. We suspect that this is a fake review and should be taken down. More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For what we paid, the apartment totally exceeded our expectations, so much so that we had planned to go to Hastings Street for dinner, but ended up purchasing a fresh whole mud crab and enjoyed a seafood meal in our spacious apartment. I don’t agree with the above comments about management. Sure, the manager isn’t... More

We have used Wotif to book accommodation all over Australia sucessfully. This experience was definitely unsucessful. We thought we were going somewhere special, NOT SO The property was not as advertised, from the so called discounted price to the endless series of rules of dos and don'ts. The bedding stunk, and the spare duvet (Doona) in the wardrobe also stunk... More

This place is ok, but I was expecting it to be better. Noosa in general is pretty over-priced in comparison with the rest of Australia. I was expecting this resort to be amazing but we had stayed in similar places for half the price further up the coast. We found the management to be very uptight. There's a strange vibe,... More

We do indeed apologise if GoldilocksGirl’s stay with us was not up to her expectations, however we do reserve the right to correct a number of misconceptions that she has. Like the vast majority of holiday resorts in Queensland, we are a self-catering or self-contained apartment complex. This means that guests have to look after themselves for their day to... More

A top price hotel but, sadly for us, not great value for money. The rooms (well houses actually) are a little dated and in need of refurbishment. The position of this hotel is quite remote but the beach is truly wonderful. More

Travellers from the UK, in particular, don’t seem to appreciate that we are not a hotel, but in fact self-contained apartments. The majority of tourist accommodation in Queensland is self-catering, strata-titled units, owned by individual investors. Our complex is about 15 years old. Our units are as big as houses and designed for permanent living. Unlike hotels which usually comprise... More
