It is an older building with about 200 rooms. Large gardens (mostly grass) and several swimming pools. The big draw are the mud baths and steam inhalation therapy. It attracts an older crowd with few clients younger than 35, many a lot older. Most clients are German. Usually one takes full board, and consequently there are few restaurants in Abano Terme. There are many different rooms, and the management readily agrees to change an unsatisfactory room. There are many single rooms, and all have full ensuite bathrooms. The hotel could do with a refurbishment, being slightly shabby. The room furniture (chairs, armchair) is basic, though the beds are OK. Showers are in the bathtubs with large glass screens to prevent splashing -- very awkward to get into or out of shower. Many bathrooms have no window and lighting in them is poor.
