Some of the rooms are relatively small in this hotel, but the excellent dining makes up for it. You can see the temples from the pretty garden, and this makes it a great base for touring the greco-roman sites - even as far as Syracuse for the day.

On arrival the place was being set up for a wedding (120+ guests) & the room first offered was in a poor state of decoration, grim faded brown with electrical sockets not properly fixed to the wall; oh, because of the wedding the hotel's restaurant was closed for the night. That meant a evening drive to find somewhere to eat.... More

The room was adequate, although tasteful. The courtyard and gardens were outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient and good, but very hard to find. The dining room was adequate, but I had the feeling that they were trying to be too French - more straight-foward recipes would have been more authentic and probably more successful.
