The minute we arrived we were greeted by the pleasant staff who showed us the lovely intimate grounds letting us know all that was available for us to use and relax with. We immediately felt like we we're true guests. The large villa reeks of history but is updated with all the modern conveniences one would have in your own... more

Villa la Favorita has a charming garden, where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. Warm and relaxing attitude, we really felt welcome and got good advises what to visit in the surrounding areas. The room was big and newly renovated. 3 days were not enough to experience all the nice places around Alba and we plan to come back. more

The Langhe appear to be filled with enticing B&Bs and hotels but after spending four nights chez Roberta, I am convinced that Villa La Favorita ranks among the best of the many options. As has been written many times before, Roberta is a charming and competent hostess with an impressive attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble, as we... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in November. We wanted to stay somewhere that was homely, relaxing and beautiful and we found all that and more at Villa Favorita. To reiterate all the other review roberta is a charming hostess, but lets you get on with things yourself, the breakfasts are delicious and vast (I couldn't get close to finishing... more

We stayed three nights at Villa La Favorita in mid-September as part of a month long Italian vacation. Based on others' reviews I really wanted to stay here and ended up changing our whole itinerary around to fit with her availabilities. I'm SO glad we did! The owner, Roberta, is simply the perfect hostess and is exceptionally knowledgable about the... more

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The hostess, Roberta, is so helpful and easy to talk to. The hotel is beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is enough to last you the day. She also makes her own wine. We liked this area more than Tuscany. Enjoy Villa la Favorita. more

I was fortunate enough to stay in this bed and breakfast villa during the grape harvest in late September. This is a very comfortable and friendly place to stay, and is only 10 minutes from Barbaresco and 10 minutes in the other direction to Barolo. You will need a car, as it is on just outside the town centre. The... more

Beautiful place we found on the Internet. We discovered that when all reviews are great you can't really go wrong. Owner is a gem, taking care of things with grace and ease. Well appointed rooms and the dining areas, the living room, kitchen and other rooms and niches sparkling clean. One can see it's taken care of with love. In... more

Our stay at Villa la Favorita was one of the highlights of our trip. Roberta the owner is such a gracious hostess. Her breakfasts were to die for, and even though I am not a big breakfast eater could not resist hers! La Favorite is made to feel like a home away from home. The staff are so willing and... more

My husband and I have just returned from our first trip to the Piemonte region in Italy. We found Villa la Favorita on the web (through the Slow Food Movement's website) which is an old Italian villa that has been beautifully restored by Roberta - the amazing hostess who owns and runs the Villa . Our room had a gorgeous... more
