Though this hotel could use a bit of updating, the room was comfortable enough for the one night we stayed. We enjoyed having a glass of wine and nosh on our balcony facing the sea. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. When we decided to change our mode of transportation from train to car, the young lady at the... More

Rather than drive from Rome in the early morning to catch the hydrofoil to Ponza, we decided to spend the night in Anzio. The hotel is across the road from the small sandy beach (which was closed for the season, but still accessible). We had sea view rooms with terrace and patio furniture from which to admire the magnificent sunset... More

This is a classic Italian hotel with lovely sea views. It exudes a level of cool that only an Italian hotel could. It is within walking distance of the town centre apart from the heat which is month dependent. The room we had was sea facing with an open balcony which had the sun all day. The only poor point... Stayed one night, but should have been longer. Although nothing fancy- rooms are clean and are good value. Ours had an ocan view onto the historic beach. Hotel is close to the US Cemetery in Nettuno. Dinner meal was exceptional. Also, breakfast buffet included eggs which is not always the case in Italy. Staff was cheerful and helpful.

We had a 2 week drive vacation through southern Italy and needed a place fairly close to Rome for a 1pm flight departure. I chose Hotel Lido Garda mainly for its proximity to Rome but what a wonderful surprise! We arrived around 5pm after driving up from Sorrento and stopping in Pompeii and a quick drive tour of Naples. We... More

We got a big surprise! The room was so lovely – beautifully decorated, really tasteful and original. The view too... I opened the balcony doors and wow! All we could see was the sea. There was the hotel’s private beach with a restaurant that was cheap and the food so tasty. The staff so kind and helpful, all of them.... More

Apparently, this hotel is ranked number 1 in Anzio. I'm not sure if that's a reflection on the other Anzio hotels or just because there aren't many reviews. One way or the other, the hotel is distinctly average. The rooms are a bit on the tired side and could definitely do with refurbishment. They are clean though, so I don't... More

Very close to the train station (if you travel without a car), tasty and full breakfasts, just a 3-minute walk to the free beach, the town center is quite far from the hotel (30 minutes on foot).
