Staying at this hotel was the best of both worlds...it was located in a small village on the seaside close to beautiful beaches, the train and within walking distance to the larger town of Anzio. The location was prefect for relaxation or if you wanted the excitment of the large city, the train was really close and you could go... more

LOCATION I stayed at the hotel the first week of September 2009, part of an Air Transat package. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood next to the sea. It features a small private beach and the public beach is minutes away by the beach. The center of the city (the picturesque port) is a mere 20 minutes... more

The train ride in every day is aften crowded and there are not enough seats in the evening, it takes an hour each way. Most of the trains have graffetti everywhere, on the seats and windows. The pool and beach are gated and are closed around 8pm, so don't plan on using the facilities in the evening. The food is... more

Anzio is a charming fishing village. After 2 days of walking around, you have seen everything it has to offer. Rome is an hour train ride. If you plan to visit Rome often, I suggest you pay the extra and stay there. We were going there for 4 days after Anzio so we didn't want to travel back and forth.... more

My review might be a little different, since our stay at this hotel was organized by a Slovakian travel agency (who is mostly to blame for our horrible week in Anzio), but it is still legit. Because I was part of a group of Slovakin tourists (I myself am Canadian), and our week's stay (including breakfast and dinner) at the... more

Three of us stayed at this hotel in mid Aug 2006. We were visiting Italy for the first time and stayed in Anzio because we wanted peace and quiet! We found it. The hotel was good and very clean, but the rooms were not up to much. We stayed in the main hotel and had a standard room. It was... more

Our Baseball Team stayed at the hotel after a long tour of Italy. The hotel is located walking distance to the beach and the onsite pool. The staff was extremely friendly and helped flag us taxis to get to and from the area. The rooms are adequate with the a/c being a bit sketchy. Nice destination to relax and stay... more

My husband and I stayed in the Dei Cesari in October 2005 and it felt like it was out of season. In the three days we were there the only other people in the hotel were a large group of Italians having a sales conference and a large group of Germans. We were the only independent tourists. We were disappointed... more
