We also came for the cross country skiing as the previous reviewer but not as part of an organised group. We booked directly with the hotel by email. Alberto, the hotel manager, speaks exellent English and was unfailingly helpful providing information by email about ski hire, loipe passes etc before our arrival. Once we arrived he phoned round to find the cheapest deals on ski hire for us, advised us on routes, provided maps and phoned ahead to check that mountain refuges were open before we set out. He could not have done more to ensure we had a good holiday. The hotel was lovely - rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the showers were super hot which was very welcome after a long day skiing! We found the food to be excellent - a big buffet breakfast with cereal, fruit, cold meat, cheese, croissants, pastries, toast etc etc and a four course meal every night - salad, pasta/risotto/soup, meat with veg, and dessert - unlike the previous poster we had tiramisu twice... more
