Stayed here for one week in March 2009 for a weeks skiing. This was my first time, albeit everyone else in the group had skied before, so I had no expectations to beat. First thing, the location is excellent. Ten metres from the back entrance to the hotel the slopes start. Baby slopes to the right and a good selection... more

This was our first visit to Bardonecchia and we would most definitely return. We stayed at The Campo Smith apartments which were very spacious, clean and warm. They were generally well equipped but they do not have an oven (just 2 electric rings) and also no kettle! The ski school was fantastic for our children, as beginners they made excellent... more

The location of this hotel is brilliant - right on the slopes. Service was great. We had a fantastic stay though the rooms and the breakfast were pretty average and the sauna/jacuzzi/turkish bath facilities were horrible. The resort was lovely with great food and a laid back atmosphere. It's also very convenient with a direct train from Milan, Paris and... more

Intro A fantastic trip to Bardonecchia in Feb 2008! Weather / slopes / food perfect. I could be totally positive about the holiday, but what you want to read are any pitfalls or observations to help you plan your holiday. Before I begin, let me be clear, this is an excellent family friendly resort, with the Italian people playing the... more

Recent skiing holiday in Bardonecchia booked via Iglu.com over New Year was wonderful with Hotel Rive and Campo Smith complex right at bottom of slopes. Guaranteed snow, very pretty trees in the fresh snow and (just) enough skiing for fairly good intermediate skiers with plenty of steepish reds and lots of lovely blues. One green slope & some flattish returns... more

Stayed in Campo Smith apartments- They were big size for holiday apartments. Only problem was showers are really samll (don't drop the soap you have to get out to actually pick it up) Beds are a bit uncomfortable too but besides that its a great base. Great facilties in the complex for renting gear and storing gear. Restaurant across the... more

Stayed in the Best Western Hotel, Bardonecchia for 1week at the end of February 2007. Had a lovely time. The hotel is very clean and located at the base of the slopes. Hotel staff are polite and friendly. We stayed in the hotel half board. Breakfast was continental with pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, cereal etc. Evening meal was a candle-lit... more

Just got back from a great ski holiday in Bardonecchia. The Hotel Rive is a fantastic place to stay. Exceptionally clean, right on the slopes, great food. The ski-ing is excellent too, all their lifts have been updated. Only 1 black run, the reds were good though, plenty of blues too. It was the actual Hotel that we stayed in... more

We stayed at the Hotel Rive for 4 nights. The hotel is literally at the base of the mountain where the ski lifts are. The location couldn't be better. We parked our car in the underground lot of the hotel and didn't have to think about it again until we left. Many a ski rental shop is attached to or... more
