I just returned from a 6 night stay at this beautiful hotel. I thought I would be the only one with young kids (7 and 9) but there were many other families, as well. There was also a good mix of older and younger couples. We had two rooms at ground level, with french doors. Every room seems to be... more

We took a break from our family of four whirwind tour of Europe and spent 5 nights at the Villa Casalecchi, just ouside the town of Castellina in Chianti in Tuscany. The grounds are beautiful. There's a lovely, large pool, surrounded by gardens, and a view that is amazing. The rooms are very clean, air conditioned, and quiet. All the staff... more

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Casalecchi for a few days in July. We absolutely loved it. It is on a secluded, wooded hillside, which catches the glorious Tuscan sun, but also the gentle breeze that eases the heat. The hotel itself is a very good, solid 4 star class, with beautiful rooms and attentive staff. The water... more

We stayed for 3 nights at the Villa Casalecchi and found it to be a beautiful and enchanting location. We were offered a choice of rooms and paid a slightly higher rate for an upstairs room with a valley view. It was well worth paying extra for; the view of the olive groves and the forest is gorgeous and you... more

We spent 9 nights in Italy last April which included 4 different hotels (Rome, Florence, Chianti and Venice) and Villa Casalecchi was our favorite. The grounds were beautiful, the staff extremely attentive - dinner was excellent - and the rooms were what you hope for when you book a villa in Chianti! The solid huge wooden doors open to large... more

My daughter and I took a trip of a lifetime to Italy. We loved the Villa Casalecchi! The managerial staff was amazingly courteous to us: presenting us with detailed directions to local sites, scheduling a wine tasting for us at the outstanding Castello di Verrazanno, and meeting our requests for parking assistance. Our room was spotless, comfortable, quiet, and reasonably... more

They went all out for us from the cleaning staff, to the kitchen staff, to the wiaters/waitresses/ to the administration. . The accommodations were very good, the food was great. We got married at Villa Casalecchi in July 06, the hotel was beautiful and location excellent. We found the staff extremely nice and very accommodating and the food was excellent. The night of our wedding the owner tried to over charge us for drinks and argued with his staff in front of us about the drinks order. Which we were... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, in the middle of a hiking tour. It was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were spotless, bed linens were of excellent quality, the staff accomodating and the food fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. We would love to return one day. more

We stayed one night at Casalecchi while driving through the Tuscan countryside and couldn't have been more pleased with the villa. The grounds are beautiful and make you feel as though you have just stepped back in time to an era of villas and vistas. The room was massive and the giant shuttered windows that opened to a view of... more
