I think I will never suggest this hotel to anybody. I work in a travel agency in my country, and really believe me, it isn't a good hotel. First of all, the breakfast. It was just a little croissant and a little baget on the plate, and you don't get more. No cheese or ham, just butter (if you arrived... more

Having spent a week in Hotel Villa Belevedere, Cefalu in September I felt I had to write as I am not sure where some of the other reviews are coming from. My husband is Italian and I am Irish/English and both of us went with my cousin from Dublin for a week's stay. My husband and I both know Cefalu... more

STAY AWAY from this awful hotel. We were given a terrible room (had a nice sea view) with a shower that sprayed water everywhere except downwards. The manager/owner made Basil Fawlty look like a real charmer and we high tailed it out of there after one night! more

We booked at short notice into another hotel in Cefalu which was full when we arrived and they had arranged for us to stay at the Belvedere. Having travelled around Siciliy and stayed in several hotels, I found this one to be the most disappointing. For the price, I found it tatty - the bathroom towels were tea-towels with holes... more

When we booked the Hotel Villa Belvedere (a month in advance) we requested in writing NOT to be put in the basement or on the ground floor, following advice from a friend, but that is where they put us. The room has low ceilings so it felt claustrophobic. The light and the sea view in the room is blocked by... more

We (dutch couple) did a fly and drive in Sicily and stayed one night (july) in this hotel. It's a clean hotel. Good beds; not to soft. And a balcony. The towels are strange; a little bit hard of fabric. The only thing that we didn't like was the airconditioning... We were in the room number 10 (first room in... more

Arriving in Cefalu in late September without a reservation we quickly learned that beach hotels were full, and did not relish navigating the one-way streets. Following well-marked signage to Hotel Belvedere, we were happy to find a vacancy and free, on-site parking (limited spaces). The road is somewhat steep, and it's at least a 15-minute walk to the central district,... more

Yes, the walk is up a 350m steep hill but when there is a music festival on in Cefalu it is well worth it! The hotel was very clean, rooms good size and staff very accomodating and friendly. Plus there is air conditioning essential in early September. more

The Hotel Belvedere is a nicely run and friendly hotel. It has a great pool and the rooms are very clean most have a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was pretty good, for a continental breakfast and the staff were always helpful and friendly, though not all speak English. This hotel is however a good 20 min walk to... more

Hotel Villa Belvedere is an interesting hotel. It is not very well positioned as Cefalu sits on a hill, the hotel is approx 350 km on an extremely steep hill, to the beach front and in fact the town, and I mean to get to any form of shops. The owner is another interesting character, he seems to try to... more
