Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel is a nice size family run hotel. Very clean, staff very attentive to your needs.Breakfast very good, concierge helpful and informative in organising trips. Hotel is so convenient for ferries across the lake, for local buses around the lake, and within short walking distance to many local restaraunts and bars.Excellent base to use to enjoy Lake Garda.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location, only a five minute stroll to the lake front and all the restaurants. Bus stop a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll to visit all the beauty this lake provides. Port ferry 5 minutes away to pop on a ferry boat to access other lakeside towns by water. The beds were so comfortable and always fresh. Air conditioning a bit old but works fine. Decor in bedroom also bit dated, but did not detract from overall effect. Breakfast plentiful, cappuccino delicious. Omelettes made to order were delicious. Poolside lovely and clean, staff very helpful Would I stay again, yes definitely! Perfect quaint small hotel..

Just come back from a week at this beautiful hotel...service, rooms, pool, food, staff all awesome. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the stunning Lake Garda. Close enough to walk to the main area of Garda and the ferry but far enough out for peaceful days by the pool. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable... The Bradys room 114

What a great find, after much research we decided to go here and would heartily recommend it! The staff are great as mentioned in other reviews, the breakfasts are good and the location is ideal. The pool area and the whole grounds are spotlessly clean. The hotel was very quiet on a night time which was really appreciated considering how in some hotels you can hear your neighbours, but we couldn’t hear a thing! Definitely a highly recommended hotel, only minor thing and don’t let this put you off would be slightly dated decor in the rooms (although very italian) and a very small shower, a larger person would struggle to fit in.

Just a fantastic hotel with friendly staff, good rooms and excellent facilities. The homely family feel all the staff provide raises this hotel to the next level. Don’t expect super modern rooms, but do expect great location, lovely pool area and a lunch menu that will meet all requirements. We will be back next year

This hotel is superb! Beautifully kept both inside and outside. Very comfortable beds, good air conditioning, authentic Italian style furniture, all very clean. Swimming pool area is just gorgeous and the poolside drinks service from the waiters was very welcomed 😎. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was just perfect and we loved the omelettes! The location is good, not right on the lake but set back just enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but just a five minute walk to the action. It is very close to the ferry port so it was ideal. Top tip when you visit in high summer or if the temperature is over 30 degrees: take an umbrella or parasol to give you shade when you are standing in the queue for the ferry. There is no shade anywhere near where you have to queue and if you leave the queue you will not get on the boat!!! I don’t know why they don’t put up canopy shelters as many people were struggling standing waiting in 37 degrees heat. A visit to Lake Garda is not complete without a swim or paddle in the lake and there are lots of beach/swimming areas. Take water shoes as the small pebbles hurt your feet! We will definitely return to this resort and will choose Hotel Garden again 😁

The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a delightful quiet location but with lovely views and just a short walk from Lake Garda and all the fun there. But the most marvellous thing was the staff, they were all so kind and caring. My husband collapsed in the pool one day and became unconcious. The owner, Carlo, acted immediately, jumped in and pulled my husband out, did cardiac resuscitation and then sent him by ambulance to hospital where he spent five days. I was alone at the hotel but the staff were wonderful to me, all so kind. And I will never forget Carlo saving my husband's life.

Ideal location (about a 5-10 min walk to the lakeside) with a beautiful view over the bay and lake from the breakfast room, as well as the pool area. Hotel has a smaller number of rooms which is a nice change, meaning less of a rush for breakfast or loungers by the pool. Hotel was clean and well kept (cleaner came round each morning), with helpful and welcoming staff. Breakfast had a wide selection of choice and was well presented. Bar was well stocked with a good selection of drinking options, whether that be hot, cold or alcoholic beverages. Bedroom was well presented with a terrace view of the mountains. Bathroom was slightly dated but design was in keeping with the decor. Only minor issue was shower cubicle seemed quite small when in it, and the shower head was not overly powerful. Did the job though and didn't affect my overall view of the hotel. Gym seemed well equipped. Bicycles where available if you wished to journey further. Overall, loved my stay and will likely be returning next year. I found Garda a lovely location and could spend hours lost in the view over the lake, with a cup of coffee/glass of wine from one of the many restaurants on the lake edge. Also found it to be a prime spot to travel to other lake towns (both north and south) using the boat taxis.
