There appears to have been a complete staff overhaul and the once friendly helpful staff have been replaced with what I found to be, uncaring, unhelpful, slightly arrogant staff. One of them actually pulled a face and demanded to know how many people were staying in my room when i asked for extra pillows. The rooms have not been touched... more

Our room was clean, large, and had a nice balcony with chairs to sunbake on. One of the air conditioners didn't work very well, which was unfortunate since it was very humid. Also, the pool on the roof is really small. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet access was extremely limited (one PC in the lobby, no WiFi). Great location. more

We stayed here in June and were so impressed with the Hotel and its staff that we booked 7 rooms and returned with friends. Without exception all of us were very impressed with the spaciousness , cleanliness, and superb central location --10 minutes walk to the old town ,2 beaches , Port , Marina and shops, bars and restaurants. Every room... more

I spent a week with my family at the Fonzari for a beach holiday. It is OK, but I doubt that we will return. On the positive side the rooms are well equipped with excellent aircon and modern furniture. There is also a mini kitchen in the room with a fridge and cooker, however it is not much use as... more

I stayed at the Hotel Fonzari for 3 months during the summer of 2006 (I was attending alanguage school) and very much enjoyed it. The staff were always helpful and very kind. The rooms were large and very clean (almost a bit too sterile) and the beds were very comfotable. The hotel is situated on the edge of the historic... more

This hotel is ideal for kids since it had a pool on the roof with a spectacular view and a separate living room with a pullout sofa bed. They have excellent cribs for no extra cost. The corner rooms are very spacious with a wrap-around terrace. The other rooms have the same benefits but are not as spacious. The location... more

I stayed at Hotel Fonzari last week and had a super time. The rooms are fantastic, balcony on the fifth floor, separate lounge with a small kitchette. Clean modern spacious room with all you would expect from a four star hotel. The pool on the roof is fantastic with great views. The hotel lays on free internet access and has... more

Regarding the hotel: 1. Spacious suites (bedroom, separate lounge with sofa bed, dining table, fridge), spotlessly clean and solid furniture. We had room 308, with huge terrace but although it was sea-facing, it had a 1m wall (unlike most suites that had smaller balconies but with railings) 2. Top-notch staff, friendly and helpful. 3. Really great roof-top pool (suitable for... more

Last year I attended an Italian Language school, Scuola Insieme which was a fantasitic experience. The School had 4 hrs of Italian every day and excursion which were included in the tuition as well as Pottery and cooking classes. One excursion, a day long one to various wineries and for dinner at a fantastic restaurant was one of the best... more
