My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and stay here for 2 nights to attend a friend's wedding in Yaxley Hall. It was money well spent. The room was huge, bed enormous (and sooo comfy!), the ensuite was as big as our spare room at home (and had 2 shower heads!), it was quiet (with no noise from the... More

My son and I went for dinner at The Auberge on 11th May. As he was on his way back to his native France it was important that the evening was a memorable one with food hopefully on a par with what we were used to "back home". This was the first time we had visited this restaurant and we... More

My husband and I stayed for one night at The Auberge and also dined in their restaurant. We had a wonderful stay and it was an excellent location from which to explore the surrounding area. We booked a four poster room which was excellent value and very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The... More

Lovely surprise one night stay in four poster room with beautiful food and such friendly hospitality - was made to feel so welcome by all the family and the asparagus souffle was to die for - top class food and even had my favourite wine on the menu - comfortable luxurious room - what more could you ask for -... We didn't think the English could do this. For years we've been going round asking why everywhere in France there are small inns offering comfortable hospitality and superb food. No hype, no Michelin celebrity just excellent service and a healthy respect for the business of hosting guests. And now we've found our own home-grown version at The Auberge in Yaxley.... More

Not sure what the previous reviewer was hoping for? If you don't like good service, great food, well appointed rooms, super ambience and friendly staff maybe you should have gone to Fawlty Towers! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay - the welcome was hearty, the food was locally sourced, generous portions, perfectly cooked and well presented. Take a good appetite with... More

We arrived on a dark evening to spend the night and to have dinner. Having parked, we had some difficulty raising any response to our arrival, but we were eventually shown to our very well appointed, comfortable room. Our dining experience was, however rather less satisfactory. The decor leaves much to be desired specially around the bar where there is no... More

I recommend most thoroughly the Auberge at Yaxley. The guys felt us felt very welcome and it was obvious that nothing would of been any trouble. The evening meal we had was superb....just about the best steak I've ever had. The room was extremely well appointed and very comfortable.

This is a family ran hotel and restaurant (former pub) near Yaxley on a fairly busy country road. The food is good, including breakfast as well as the wine list. It is a great shame however that there are no real ales offered (other than smooth flow), not even bottled, which is rather strange for a country restaurant. All rooms... More

My husband and I stayed there on the 29th September for his birthday and were made to feel really welcome. The service from start to finish was very professional and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were truly scrumptious. Our room was spacious and have everything you need with a great walk in power shower. It was a real treat... More
