Castello Chiola, Loreto Aprutino We arrived at this hotel late Saturday afternoon at the same time as a wedding party was expected. Several parking places were roped off, reserved for the bridal party, but our car was too big to drive around their narrow road to further parking spaces. We were told in no uncertain terms that we could not... more

A wonderful place to visit if you want to relax and get away from it all. We stayed here during our honeymoon and would definitely recommend it to those who want absolute peace and quiet. A car is essential although make sure you study a map of the local area well before venturing out as local signs are very unreliable!... more

Stayed for five nights, excellent room, the largest we have ever stayed in and well decorated and appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Whole hotel very impressive with good swimming pool and excellent views in almost all directions. Only criticism is that the restaurant seems not to have heard of vegetables, even though they are mentioned on the menu! Would... more

We recently stayed here for one night on a trip from Ravenna to Brindisi. I loved the hotel, it was very grand and our room was spacious and well decorated, in style with the hotel. The receptionist was efficient and welcoming, as was the porter. We had a small problem with the bath which was fixed immediately. As we did... more

We stayed at Castello Chiola in December 2005 with some friends and I cant rate this hotel enough. We had a Junior Suite which was huge and had the most fantastic views of the snow capped mountains and valleys. In summer the pool area would be great. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, the service was spot on and they... more

Spent three days here very recently.A somewhat depressing experience to put it mildly. The hotel is in a marvellous position overlooking the town and has been sympathetically converted in keeping with the original castle facade and interior layout.Reception was efficient though not noticeably welcoming. Our room was extremely spacious but stylistically bland with non functioning air conditioning. We came in part for the... more

This place is great. Huge air conditioned rooms with vaulted ceilings, spacious travertine tiled bathrooms, friendly staff, a modest outdoor pool, and lots of good food nearby, (such as La Bilancia, Da Rocco, Carmine restaurants - all located six Km down the hill). Hotel is an old castle surrounded in a fortress like complex and situated atop of the town... more

Castello Chiola is a place that shall remain with my girlfriend and i for ever. The hotel itself is an amzing fusion of the very old and modern. The rooms, and we had the junior suite, are simply magnificent, with incredible views, and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and the quality of... more
