Went to excelsior bay at beginning of September. The hotel has the most fantastic position on the Lake of Malcesine, yet being a short distance away from the town centre. My wife (38) and I (40) along with one of my sons and a nephew (11 &12) stayed here for a week half board. We were expecting run of the mill food and were planning to eat out most nights. Stayed for 4 nights with family and friends (11 altogether) for our wedding. Third visit to area, first time in this hotel.Beautiful views from hotel across lake. Staff friendly and helpful, food good with decent choice. Side view room was a lovely surprise as we did not specifically request this. Didn't try pool facilities as the weather was quite wet in May. You could not better the location right on the lake. We hope to go in 2010 for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. more
