During end of September 2009 I was with a Trafalgar Tour and spent 2 nights in Venice at the Hotel Antony. It was very disappointing - the breakfasts left a lot to be desired and was really not up to standard. It felt like being at school hostel being chased to eat and not able to sit where you want... more

Dear Guest, If you reserve the hotel as part of a group, so you have a discounted rate, of course the treatment will be different if compared to an individual guest (and your travel agency knows this). The dinner menu is fixed by the travel agency for the whole group you travel with, and as part of a "group" you...

This is a very clean hotel with spacious rooms. It is also close to the airport, which we needed in order to make a 6:30 am flight the next day. But their free "shuttle" only holds 6 people and must be booked in advance. We arrived late in the afternoon and found we could not use it because it was... more

Dear Guest, Our shuttle bus have 8 seats and must be booked in advance (we always advice guests about this and we wrote it in all web sites). We are sorry about the problem you had in the restaurant , but if the large group you mentioned had dinner before you, it means they reserved the tables! Anyway we have...

Location of hotel near airport was good for early morning flight. Price was high at 130 euros for one night. Room was very large by european standards with a large bathroom. Check-in staff was very helpful and we got our room early in the morning, Asked for a 4 am wake-up call as we arranged to take the first shuttle... more

Dear Guest, we apologize for the inconvenience with your wake up call. Our computer system had a black out and it automatically changed the time one hour forward. So when we set your 4am call, it was actually 3am. We are extremely sorry about that. The night clerk tried to apologize with you but his english is not so good,...

We stayed at the Antony Hotel for 1 night in June, 2009 as part of our Trafalgar Tour. The hotel room was ok - very basic, the bathroom was ok. I did notice that the bathtub was very high and slippery and I remember thinking that I don't know how older people would be able to safely get in and... more

This hotel, which is near the airport, is good value and convenient when you have an early morning flight out of Venice. If you have several days to stay in Venice, you will want a more centrally located hotel right in the city. To get to the Hotel Antony from Venice, it will cost about 25 Euros (July 2009) to... more

I stayed at this hotel with my family for four nights and found it very relaxing, the room was excellent and very cosy, the breakfast was great (at the time, amongst the best of the hotels that I have stayed at in Italy) and there was lot to choose from and the staff at breakfast time were a credit to... more

We were looking for a reasonably priced, good quality hotel near Marco Polo Airport and we found it with the Antony. Newish, modern suburban-type hotel with everything we needed for our brief stay. Very happy with our choice and the available amenities. Even the internet was free, which is almost unheard of in my experience in Europe. Breakfast included. I'd... more

My wife and I stayed at the Antony Hotel as part of a Trafalgar tour (Italian Holiday). The hotel was relatively clean but no great shakes and not in Venice proper. The room was a quite stark by American standards. The dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, included with the tour, while not outstanding were acceptable. more

After a week in Venice we spent one night at the Antony to be close to the airport for an early flight. The hotel was less expensive than the nearby Marriott and well located to the airport either by hotel shuttle or public bus and an easy walk into a small urban area. We did not try to access Venice... more

This hotel does seem to suffer from a poor reputation, however the rooms were very good and the location, despite its distance from the main attractions of Venice was pleasant and quiet. The big disappointment was the food served in the restaurant, dinner on our first night was awful, poor quality and badly prepared. Breakfast was well below the standard... more

You stayed at Antony Hotel on June 2008 and your review is dated January 2009 ! Seven months later... We are very sorry about your complaint but please note follows: If you came with a group of 50 people, the menu of the dinner was not chosen by us, but by your tour operator . Anyway, there is always a...
